When temperatures warm after snowfalls, the snow under many conifers turns yellow. I suspect this is due to epiphytes fragmenting, or perhaps color leaching from them and dripping on to the snow.

Heavy rain after days of snow resulted in obstructed storm drains and shallow ponds forming over low spots on local roads.
