Last Day at Rezanof Lake

Yesterday’s late return after a strenuous outing, plus the arrival of rain left us feeling much less motivated on our last full day at Rezanof Lake. Plus we needed to process and pack collections from the prior days.

We did have one objective away from camp. Kitty needed to collect some samples of yellow cedar for a genetics project looking at diversity within population and to what extent cedars in a stand are clonal.

We found a suitable stand on the wet slope between Rezanof and Khvostof Lake.

Otherwise, I spent some time documenting plants, fungi, and lichens near camp.
