Daily Observations

Rockwell Lighthouse

Weather: It was mostly clear early this morning, but the clouds were already starting to move in. By mid morning it was overcast and the rain started around noon. The rain stopped in the late afternoon and it was overcast with a little bit of a breeze through the evening hours.

Birds: Most of the birds I observed today were at the park on my walk this morning (see Morning Walk).

I also heard an Orange-crowned Warbler singing outside the house again today. There were many Savannah Sparrows and Ravens on the campus lawn this afternoon and evening.

Other Notes: When I made spaghetti for dinner tonight I decided to try adding dandelion leaves to the sauce. It turned out alright. They did not seem to retain the bitter flavor they often have when eaten fresh.
