Common Merganser

A male Common Merganser was hanging out on a rock in Indian River not far below the road bridge today when I went down to check on the dipper nest (young were still in it, but I expect them to be out any day, as they’re looking big). I’ve previously seen a male and female in the same area, so I’m not sure where she was today.
