The February 25th show featured a conversation with Adam Haberski, who has been studying a group of rove beetles present on sky islands in the southern Appalachian Mountains. We spoke about rove beetles (Staphylinidae), how what he’s learned about the evolution of the group he has studied might inform similar studies on beetles in Southeast Alaska, and more generally about documenting beetles and other arthropods around Sitka.
