December Snow Showers

Temperatures climbed into the 40s today. It had rained overnight. Despite the warmer temperatures, what precipitation fell during daylight hours included a fair amount of snow. This evening graupel and snow showers moved over with some rain mixed in at times. There was little accumulation by the time I called it good for the day.

I spent a little time out looking around this afternoon between taking care of a couple of errands.

The sun did peak through between showers.

I drove by Swan Lake and saw a layer of water over the ice. Given the weather of late, it could be one of those years that even if/when it gets cold enough for ice to get thick, the surface will be rough from the snow/slush cycle preceding the colder temperatures.
