John Brown’s Beach

Black-clawed Crab (Lophopanopeus bellus)

April 5, 2014April 4, 2014 by matt goff

Black-clawed Crab (Lophopanopeus bellus) is a species I’ve seen a couple of times now at John Brown’s Beach. I am uncertain how common it is in general. Mt. Edgecumbe from John Brown’s Beach

March 10, 2014February 26, 2014 by matt goff

Connor, Rowan, and I spent some time down at John Brown’s Beach this morning. I mostly just spent time around the corner from the sandy beach where I could enjoy some sun and have a nice view of Mt. Edgecumbe.

20 January Photos: Rising Moon and Setting Sun

March 6, 2011January 20, 2008 by matt goff
This entry is part 6 of 143 in the series 2008 Photojournal

While walking with Connor today, I happened to catch the moon rising behind the snow covered Sisters. A little while later, I tried to catch a green flash from John Brown’s Beach. No luck, but I kept a sequence of the last little bit of setting sun.
