Connor spotted a large bunch of birds flying over Gavan Hill while we were walking towards Swan Lake early this afternoon. I was a little bummed that I didn’t have my tripod or more time to get better video of their graceful flight. I was interested to note that much of the time they seemed paired up. I’m not sure if the pairs stayed the same, or if they switched off. Perhaps this was the raven equivalent of a big social dance.
I was able to get a little bit of video of the flight, which I’ve uploaded to youtube and embedded below. I would recommend viewing the larger version at HD quality to get a slightly better look at the ravens’ flight maneuvers.
