June Snow

I checked out the lake this morning to see what might be around. Water birds are continuing to thin out, but plenty of song bird singing along the lakeshore (more traffic than I preferred – I suspect due to people getting ready for the derby).

I had been noticing a chill in the air and when I got over to the far side of the lake, I could see fresh snow several hundred feet down the slopes of the north Sister. In some ways it felt like a late September day.
