Evening Cloud Break

Overcast with rain off and on for much of the day. Light winds, temperatures in the 50s.

I didn’t get out too much today. With the forecast calling for sunny weather in the coming days, it seemed like a good time to do things indoors.

This morning I heard birds making noise outside and checked. I saw two Hairy Woodpeckers, one feeding the other suet from the suet feeder. They took off when a Northern Flicker flew up to the feeder. I think it may not have been comfortable with me watching, as it didn’t stick around for long. Later I noticed the suet block had some chunks out of it. Perhaps this one won’t last for the better part of a year like the last one did.

Disappearing Snow
Snow on the Pyramids will not be around for much longer

I did make a brief walk around the neighborhood mid-morning. Not much snow remains on the Pyramids. I’ll try to catch when it disappears, but we’ll see if the clouds cooperate.

This evening I checked the visitor center at Totem Park for moths.

Evening Calm

By this time the clouds had started to break up. Time will tell if it transitions to the sunny conditions called for in the forecast tomorrow.
