Mostly cloudy to overcast. Periods of rain (showers moving through) and temperatures in the low 40s with light to moderate winds.

Snow levels were down to 2000 feet or less on the mountains today. It’s been a low snow winter so far, but sometimes conditions in March and even into April add significantly to the snow pack. Time will tell about this year.
After the disruptions of travel the past three days, today was a bit of a recovery day. This was compounded by the impending internet downtime. Last I heard, it to be significantly impaired early tomorrow, but they’re still expecting it to be op again by the 17th.
I did go out for a look around this afternoon. Fish must be biting at the lake, as I saw a group of folks walking away with fishing poles (who had presumably just been fishing), and two others still fishing from the peninsula.
With the fishing activity there, the ducks were scattered along the edge of the sedges rather than at the peninsula proper. Among the Mallards I saw the drake Wood Duck. I hadn’t crossed paths with him for at least a couple of weeks, so it was nice to get a look.
The north end of the channel was quiet during the few minutes I watched there.
Plenty of Long-tailed Ducks remain in the central part of the channel, though scaups were fewer less abundant today.
I managed to finish my radio show with enough time to drive out the road before the new 6pm start time for ultimate.
A Coast Guard cutter was in Starrigavan Bay. It seemed an odd place for it, so I’m curious why it was out there.
We had enough for 3 on 3 at ultimate. Conditions were reasonable. On the cool side, but other than a brief shower towards the beginning it stayed dry. Occasional wind made things interesting at times.
