The July 7th show featured a conversation with Derek and Mel Sikes, who were in town run a family bug camp through the Sitka Sound Science center. Derek is the curator of the entomology collection at the Museum of the North and a previous guest on the show. We spoke about the bug camps they run each summer, and what is known about terrestrial arthropods in Alaska, including an update to a beetle story that has roots in the Russian era.
