My brother, Kitty and I decided to take advantage of some sunny weather to hike up Bear Mountain via the Beaver Lake route.
Kitty had never been up this part of Bear Mountain (a couple of years ago she made it most of the way to Bear Lake, but once in the clouds limited visibility turned them back). Jonathan had gone with me a little ways above tree line one afternoon in fall 2003, but may not have been up again since.
