Weather: Overcast with rain. Birds: This morning I saw a hummingbird at the foxglove flowers in the back yard. After spending the better part of the day inside, I left for a walk in the late afternoon. I went up to Indian River near the trail head then followed the river down to Totem Park. I saw this eagle at Totem Park today. I do not recall seeing plumage quite like this before. I am uncertain whether this is a fairly typical phase of transition between immature and mature plumages, or if this bird is quite different.
Rain, lots of rain. The day is not even done and there has already been over an inch of rain. I haven’t spent much time outside today, but I did managed to update the Sitka Bird Photos so the list now includes the bird photos I have taken through the middle of May.
