Raven Radio Show #30: Fred Bassett

The 16 June show featured a conversation with Fred Bassett, a hummingbird bander visiting Sitka on a trip through south coastal Alaska hoping to learn more about the Rufous Hummingbirds he has banded in the southeastern United States.

If you have questions or observations you want to share, please feel free to leave a comment here or on the page I’ve set up for that purpose.

Matt, wouldn’t it be neat to interview the Nurses – Marge and Tedin, and Brownie – about their lives here, and their experiences in nature –

  2. matt goff says:

Yes – that could be fun. I had Marge on before, and would like to again at some point. I was thinking it could also be interesting to do a series of conversations with long-timers about the history or Sitka like we had talked about awhile back. I would be happy to help out with that (including recording some conversations myself) – though in some case I would probably need some help with background to get me started.
