Tracks in the Sand

This entry is part 73 of 133 in the series 2011 Photojournal

As I write this (December 2011) I don’t remember where these photos were taken. I think they were probably at Halibut Point Rec, though I have no other record from that visit.

As best I can tell, these tracks are from a squirrel bounding across the sand.

  1. no – I hadn’t considered rat tracks. Do you think they might be plausible?

I wouldn’t imagine a rat doing the big jumps, and also wouldn’t tend to think of a rat down on the beach. Of course I also don’t tend to think of squirrels spending much time on the beach either. I know rats are around here, but I’ve had very little interaction with them or their tracks/sign that I know of.
