During the winter gulls can often be seen trying to eat intertidal invertegbrates. Although this sea cucumber is pretty large, I'm guessing it will go down easier than the starfish I've seen other birds with. Observed 26 January 2007 at Crescent Harbor.

This first year Long-tailed Duck kept tilting up like this and rocking back and forth, but I am not sure why. Observed 26 January 2007 at ANB Harbor.
