Relatively short-lived astronomical phenomena can be difficult to observe in Sitka due to the prelevance of cloud cover. I was lucky enough to be able to take these pictures of Comet McNaught when clear skies prevailed at sunset tonight.

Although I cannot see this view from our house, I often walk across the drive to have a look at Mt. Edgecumbe as I am heading out to school in the morning and skies are clear.
