1 January Photos: Eliason Harbor
A stormy day to start the year. These photos are from Eliason Harbor and underneath O’Connell Bridge.
The boats in Eliason Harbor were swaying back and forth in the strong winds. If you look close, it is possible to see a wave splashing up over the side of the dock.
The chinstrap seen on the right side bird is an indication that it is a Pacific Loon. Observed 1 Jan 2007.
These two Pacific Loons were actively diving among the fingers of the dock. The bird in front seems to have a slightly deformed (crossed) bill. Observed 1 Jan 2007.
