Common in winter, spring and fall. Dates from 24 July 1913 near St. Lazaria Island by George Willett (1914) to 11 May 1940 when I saw one in Sitka Bay. Also, one was seen on the Sitka Breeding Bird Survey, 1993-97, in June.
