Common resident. Many nests recorded.

Salmon fry regularly die and are flushed out to the ocean by hatchery workers. Eagles consider this a feeding opportunity.

I found these Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) remains a little off the trail in Totem Park. I'm not sure what ate all the flesh, presumably other birds, or maybe a mink.

A Bald Eagle made a pass at the small group of young mergansers.
