Slime Molds
Myxomycota
Summary: Slime molds are a fascinating group of organisms that form striking but ephemeral reproductive structures that range in size from very small (only a couple of millimieters) to dinner-plate sized. To my knowledge, little effort has been made to understand the slime molds of Southeast Alaska in any comprehensive way, so additions to this section will be based on what I can see and get identified as I go.
I owe a big thank you to George Barron for his help getting me started with identifications for many of my older slime mold photographs.
