I am not sure what species of fungus this is, but it did not remain fruiting for very long.

This Orange Felt Fungus was not something I had noticed before.

Although I did not get the photo I was trying for, a severe crop revealed interesting structures that were difficult to see in the dim woods.
I'm not sure if this is some sort of mold/fungus or what.
The top of this fungus is somewhat reminiscent of Trametes, but I'm not sure if that's what it is, or not.
The 'teeth' make this seem different than most polypores.
I think this is a Panellus sp, though I've mostly seen those growing on Alder (Alnus spp) before.
