Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout.
Habitat: On peaty soil, and in bogs and fens; also on decaying wood, deadfalls, and occasionally on forest floors.
Comments: Often fertile. This is a good example of a circumboreal species that is essentially missing in the Arctic; it is a pronounced oceanic species.
